Bath houses for Poasi Community

As part of improving livelihoods and also enhancing safety in the Poasi community of Takoradi, Cirrus Oil has recently constructed additional concrete bath houses for the inhabitants at the cost of GHC 13,000. Until the construction, the part of the community used wooden structures as bath houses.

Cirrus Oil Supports and Promotes Culture

Unity and peace are borne from diversity of culture and Cirrus Oil has promoted this course by supporting various festivals to the tune of GHC 6,000. The company supported the Kundum, Odambea and Homowo festivals celebrated respectively by the people of the Poasi ( Takoradi) , Nkusukum( Saltpond) and Kpone traditional areas.

Cirrus Oil Partners the Ghana Police Service

Cirrus Oil appreciates greatly the impact of the Ghana police Service in the fight against crime and has partnered with the Community Policing Unit of the Service. A donation of GHC 5,000 was offered to the Unit to enhance its proactive strategies aimed at reducing crime and solving community problems. This the company believes, would offer the citizenry safer and healthier neighborhoods.

Cirrus constructs ultra modern library for Takoradi communities

In line with our CSR policy, the company has constructed and handed over a 36-seat ultra-modern library to Poasi & New Takoradi communities (our host communities). The handing over ceremony was done on the 12th of December, 2012.

The library, which caters for pupils from Nursery, KG, Primary & JHS is stocked with over 2500 GES recommended text books and novels.

The facility also comprises of an office, a store room and a very comfortable place of convenience.

In response, the chiefs and citizens of both communities expressed their profound gratitude and appreciation  for the magnificent  facility & pledged to ensure the maximization of the library.

 The facility is estimated to have costed over GHC 120,000.

Cirrus Oil donates GHC 10,000 to the surgical department of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital

An amount of GHC 10,000 was donated to complement the efforts of the department  of Surgery to construct a three-storey building which would serve as an outpatient department ( OPD), an endoscopy unit and  breast center. The donation was made to the deputy director of nursing services of the surgical department- Mrs. Philomena Huni Dadzie, in the presence of the head of department, Professor Clegg- Lamptey.

Sponsorship for Ghana International Book Fair Reading Programme

An amount of GHC 3,000 was donated towards the reading clinics organized by the Ghana International Book Fair. The theme for the fair was: Books and Reading in the world of the internet.

Cirrus Oil support the 50th Anniversary of the Ghana Library Association

An amount of GHC 5,000 was donated to the Ghana Library Association towards the celebration of their 50th Anniversary. The company also delivered solidarity messages to the Association

Support for Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research NASPA for schistosomiasis screening at Ada Foah

An amount of GHC3,000 was donated towards the screening and treatment of Schistosomiasis at the Ada Foah community.
